With WindChaser's portable ice cube maker, you can create ice on demand wherever there's an electrical outlet nearby. Great for basement bars and outdoor eating areas, the 150-watt ice maker creates three different sizes of ice cube on its 12 metal rods, using either tap or bottled water. It generates ice within 6-8 minutes of powering up and turns out up to 29 pounds of ice a day, storing 2-1/2 pounds at a time in an insulated chest. Operation of the unit is easy, thanks to its microprocessor's soft-touch controls and clear indicator lights that warn when water is low or the storage tank is full. No drain is required, but you may want to keep in mind that, while portable, the unit weighs in at over 40 pounds. WindChaser includes a removable ice basket and a 1-year warranty.
